Welcome to the Mid-America Christmas Tree

Our Objectives:

  • To provide our members with the newest and most up-to-date information about techniques, tool, resources, and ideas related to the Christmas Tree Industry.
  • To provide participating states with added attractions for its membership and give our members a chance to see what is happening with the industry in other states.
  • To provide an annual trade show for the largest possible assemblage of Christmas tree growers throughout the Midwest. Affording an opportunity for state and MACT members to observe, try out and be exposed to the latest ideas, materials and equipment related to the Christmas Tree Industry.

How will MACT benefit you?

The Mid-America Christmas Tree Association by soliciting; arranging for; and bringing more exhibitors of tools, supplies and equipment to state meetings throughout the Midwest will give you the opportunity to see, experience and purchase the latest equipment related to the Christmas tree industry. This allows our members to be active buyers as well as save the cost of shipping products to your farm.

The Mid-America Christmas Tree Association by having joint meetings with state associations makes it possible to bring nationally recognized speakers and designers to present meaningful seminars to the meetings and for you to be able to ask specific questions about how to solve some of your tree growing or marketing problems. Exhibitors benefit from the exposure to a larger customer base.

Your attendance at these meetings will give you the opportunity to learn of growing methods and cultural techniques successful in other parts of the Midwest and see first hand how individual farms, both big and small, operate their business.

Membership in the Mid-America Christmas Tree Association gives you an opportunity to shape the policies and address the problems facing the Christmas tree industry and to meet and make new friends with growers in other states.

With your membership, you will also receive a Mid-America Christmas Tree Association semi-annual newsletter and a yearly membership list. You will also receive, if not receiving it through your state organization, Christmas Trees magazine. Christmas Trees is a magazine of plantation management for Christmas Tree growers, wholesale and retail, covering various aspects of grower operations from planting, insect and weed control, to shearing, shaping and marketing.

How do I join MACT?

The membership fee, which is due August 1st each year, is only $25.00. For growers, this is close to the price of one tree and for exhibitors, much lower than you usually pay to other associations. Just click on the link below to fill out an application.
